Fife Council has published a Draft Strategic Development Framework to assist in the regeneration of the Invertiel & Linktown area.  It identifies a strategy for development; key land uses, and identifies a series of urban design principles for informing future development proposals.
 
The Kirkcaldy Area Committee approved the Draft Framework for public consultation purposes on the 25th November.  A period of public consultation will run from 1st December 2009 until 29th January 2010.
 

Two drop-in events have been arranged for the Consultation on 1 December from 1.00pmto 5.00pm, and on 8 December from 3.00pmto 7.00pmat Philp Hall, Link Street, Kirkcaldy.  These drop-in sessions offer members of the public the opportunity to tell the Council what they think of the aspirations for the Invertiel and Linktown area.

An exhibition at the Café, West Bridge Mill, Bridge Street, Kirkcaldy will run from 2 December until 29 January between 10.00amand 3.00pm. The exhibition will show a summary of the proposals set out in the Development Framework document, alongside an opportunity to post any feedback into a Comments Box next to the display. It will be at this location from 2 December until 29 January, with the exception of 8 December and the Christmas period between 21 December and 1 January.
 

All comments received will be assessed and reported back to the Kirkcaldy Area Committee alongside a Finalised Strategic Development Framework in the spring of next year.
